International Slow Art Day at Palazzo Strozzi
WHO: all
WHEN: Saturday, April 28, 2012
The International Slow Art Day is an experience that takes place simultaneously in different parts of the world.
Palazzo Strozzi is participating again for the 2012 edition, offering visitors a new way to experience
the exhibition Americans in Florence. Sargent and the American Impressionists.
At any time on April 28, visitors are invited to pick up free materials which have been specifically designed
to encourage a slow approach to art: looking at no more than 4-5 works of art, each for about 10-15 minutes.
The event concludes with an open conversation in small groups in the courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi where you'll have
the opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions about your experience.
Look longer Look again Look closer, look differently
Look until your eyes hurt
Look at the whole art work, look at a detail Look until you see things that aren’t actually there...
...then tell us on Facebook or Twitter how it went and what you discovered!
